Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, violinist and composer Andrei Matorin began performing professionally at the age of 15 and has had the pleasure of performing and been featured as a soloist at such prestigious institutions and festivals as The Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center and The MoMA. While rooted in the classical and jazz traditions, his music is influenced by modern dance and grooves to create infectious new sonic landscapes often using sound effects and loops.
